Lewis Black on Emmys

I didn't watch the whole award show, but I did catch Lewis Black's routine. He cleverly couched his most radical statements in some less subversive comments, and censors obviously didn't realize that, they let him do his thing. I hear that they did bleep Sally Field (on Fox?) for her anti-war comments during her acceptance speech. Anybody has more details and perhaps a clip of Lewis' performance?

Thanks DYSHN! I knew I could count on you for all things TV. I looked at the Black clip you sent, and what I had in mind is the comment he makes kind of half-way through. He says something about the anchor reading news about war (aka the American invasion) and how underneath there is a scroll saying something like "Americans feel they have no feelings." I interpreted it as his anti-war comment, but it could be interpreted several ways.

I, too, feel that could have been interpreted several ways, and I feel Black knew that it could be interpreted several ways, and that is why he presented it as he did, because he probably wanted to get past the Emmy cEnSoRs.

I liken how Black slipped past the censors to (you guessed it... another television reference) how Prince slipped past the five-second delay censors when he performed at the Super Bowl earlier this year. (http://www.usmagazine.com/new_super_bowl_scandal_princes_penisgate_0)

I am pleased with both men.

Simple... Sally's speach wasn't scripted and she said "god damn" which in is a horrible curse in Fox vocabulary. Black's speach was scripted and he did not curse.

I'm pretty sure Sally's speach would go through if she didn't say god damn. Granted, they still would not like it, but...
